Welcome to the UCR Computing & Communications Job Application Database.

Computing and Communications (C&C) is currently accepting applications for future student employment. Applications will be kept on file, and will remain active for one year from date of submission or last update, to fill student employment positions as they become available. As student employment positions become available within CNC, qualified applicants will be contacted by phone to schedule an interview. Your application information will only be accessible by CNC staff for hiring purposes. Your information will not be shared without your express consent.

C&C employs students for various positions including but not limited to:

Student System Administrator - Computing Infrastructure & Security builds and supports computing systems within C&C and in other campus departments and organizational units also utilizes a combination of tools / techniques / staff to support network and server security. These efforts help stop problems at the campus border router, detect intrusions, monitor traffic for denial of service patterns, and ensure the integrity and privacy of protected (personal) data.

iLearn Student Administrator - The Instructional Technology Group offers faculty and students technological support relating to academic disciplines. They emphasize a "hands-on" approach to our services, whether it's support for courses in Blackboard, or training in Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Dream weaver to augment classroom presentations.

Student Web Assistant - The Microcomputer Support Group provides desktop computing support for faculty and staff. Services include consulting on hardware, software and networking, plus assistance with acquiring, learning and using stand-alone or networked microcomputers (Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and UNIX platforms).

Front Office Assistant - The Administration Division supports the entire C&C organization in all of it administration needs, which includes: general payroll, human resource management, fiscal management, purchasing, reception, administrative and clerical support, facilities management, and recharge rate analysis.

Communications Student Assistant - Communications places fundamental value on responsive customer service, timely infrastructure renewal and replacement, and providing a very robust and reliable production environment that offers a broad range of services and support. Student staff may assist with inventory and stockroom tasks, administrative and clerical support, operator console support, and database entry.

Computer Lab Consultant - Student Computing Services supports most campus computer labs (including the Collaboratory and eClassroom), student email, disk storage, network connectivity and other services used by UCR students.
